Christmas Break in Central Asia

January 11, 2016

This trip to Central Asia was our 10th as a group. It has been amazing to be a part of so many of those trips and watch the faithfulness of God every year. One of my favorite parts about this trip each year is taking people who have never been and seeing their eyes opened to a new culture and new experiences. One of the most impactful things for people each year is the realization that God is at work everywhere in the world, even in a country that is 99% Muslim.

On this trip, I got to reconnect with several friends from years past. Two are local believers and I'm always encouraged to see how much they have grown in their walk with the Lord and how faithful they are. I was pleasantly surprised to see that one friend has reconnected with the English club we partner with, exposing her to more time with believers and Truth.

Another friend came to the English club with me for the first time in years. While there, she met some new girls who arrived in the city just a few months earlier. She immediately connected with them and they have already all hung out. While spending time with her, the Americans shared their stories and Truth with her. She was interested and they are going to begin studying the Bible this weekend! It has been amazing to see glimpses of what God is doing and how He is always at work there. Thanks for your prayer and financial support of work being done around the world through the BCM!
